Fashion's First Lady

Let's export Fashion

12.17.09

Michelle Obama is ready to be next Jackie O if she isn't already. Every time I see Michelle Obama on TV or in pictures she is rocking it out. She is not afraid of using bold powerful colors and the good thing about it is that works for so brilliantly for her. I really love this woman fashion's sense and style. I think she started a trend in the USA with her belted cardigans that she look so lovely.

I can't wait to see more of this amazing lady!

When Fashion changes lives

Let's export fashion

12.13.09

Who said female empowerment!?

My fellows fashion enthusiasts I came across with an article that blew my mind. I was thrilled that fashion was used to touch people's lives. In Rio De Jaineiro, Brazil a government sponsored program take female "street workers" and instructed with techniques of sewing and design in order to give them career options besides being a prostitute. I think fell in love with fashion even more. Like I always said, it is not only about the glamour and the couture but about humanity and philanthropy.

I can't help to think about those ladies that went from being a prostitute to now a working fashion designer. It makes my day.

Here are some pictures of the fashion show that took place in the red light district in Rio.

Oscar de La Renta Pre-Fall 2010

let's Export Fashion

on Dec 7, 2009

When I think Oscar De la Renta can't get any better, he just go and prove me all wrong.

For Pre-Fall 2010 Oscar showed a collection that for me was very romantic, but at the same time very playful and fun. I can also see that the collection had a interesting Russian feel that for sure translated to beautiful work.

Something I really loved about this collection were the dazzling gowns that took my breath away.

It is not all about Fashion

let's Export Fashion

Certainly not.

I want to remind all of us that we can really make a difference in this world. Personally, I want to achieve my highest potential as a human being, and I have realized that we are powerful creatures that can do wonderful things and if we want, we can turn mountains upside down.

Lately, I felt the urge to help, to do something, so I decided that I was going to advocate and express myself here in my new love: my fashion blog.

If you are that wonderful person reading this, you are already making a difference in my world because I can see you care enough to keep reading. People think that help means money, but I can tell you help comes in several forms. For example, a smile can change a person's day instantly, or some other people simply want a person to talk to.

I wish I can do more to help others and to live in a world in peace ( I know I am sounding like a beauty queen, but I can't help to feel this way) but as I right now, this is what I can do.

God bless us all and let's make this world even more beautiful!

Perfume and cologne of the month

let's Export Fashion

I think I found my new favorite things to blog about:
Fragrances!

I have been in love with them since I was a little kid. I remember having my first cologne at age nine. it was blue jeans by Versace and until now I can still feel the fresh scent of it. Fragrances for me are very special because they always take me back to time I wore them. Also, a lot of my friends have been asking me about my favorite fragrances so I decided to come with a perfume and
a cologne of the month.

Flowerbomb
by Viktor & Rolf

this perfume is the ultimate floral explosion which makes this perfume very fresh and delicious. Flowerbomb is definitely a must have because I think any woman (and men) would be enchanted by the complexity of its aromas. You can actually find the gift set at Neiman Marcus for $ 95 which makes a great gift for a great price.

Now, for my guys friends, I specially love Egoist Platinum by Chanel. It is a super sexy cologne with hints of sage, rosemary, geranium and lavender. It's a signature fragrance that is very versatile for both day and night.

Guys, both of this item could be a great gift idea for this holidays.

till' next time.......
